Is Television Going To Be Around For Much Longer?

by admin on September 4, 2010

These days a lot of people spent most of their time on the web and you will occasionally here comments about TV being dead. Who needs television when you have the almost endless possibilities of the web? With a huge range of television programmes available to watch online from anywhere in the world, you will never be stuck to a rigid schedule again. There are even a number of shows which can only be watched online which is quite exciting. The fact is that it is relatively cheap to make online shows and this means that practically any of us can make them. It is now not only possible to watch shows on the internet but to also make them and be the star of them too if we want.

It would probably be a bit premature to right off television altogether though. Those in the television industry however, have not been sitting on their laurels waiting for the internet to push television off its pedestal; instead they have been making their own developments so that we have even more choice. As long as we can access High Definition television and the amount of channels that we have at the moment it is unlikely that people won’t want to continue watching their TVs. There are a huge number of people who will be watching the television while they are surfing the internet. There are also those people who have no interest in spending their time online for long and much prefer their television. For the moment anyway, we can relax because television is not going anywhere but who knows what might happen in ten or twenty years. In fact what we will probably see happening is that online and TV shows are going to form a much closer relationship. Things like Google TV will likely mean that in the future watching TV will be a far more interactive experience.
