The cast list for DWTS was already announced by ABC. It will start its 11 season on September 20 for viewers who care. A week ago the media leaked who would be dancing this year. It contains Bristol Palin, “The Situation,” David Hasselhoff, Aurina Patridge and Brandy. Others on the list were shown by NJ.com to be “Baby” from “Dirty Dancing,” Jennifer Grey, Nicollette Sheridan man toy Michael Bolton, Vanessa Williams’ husband Rick Fox, former “Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson and the standup comic Margaret Cho. Jennifer Grey is a shoe in to win this year of DWTS. She may have had her life saved by Dancing With the Stars.
Jennifer Grey ended up in an auto incident
Jennifer Grey knows how to dance, but after an automobile accident several years ago, it seemed as though she might never dance again. Zap2It reports that Grey said she was feeling bad neck pain before talking to a neurological spine surgeon. Grey wanted this appointment after hearing the surgeon worked on dancer Karina Smirnoff so she might be able to go on DWTS at some point. Grey had some torn ligaments in her neck because of the incident. Apparently nobody had treated her correctly. Grey was told by the surgeon that her spinal cord was compressed as a result of the degenerated condition. Grey would be permanently paralyzed with any minor shift from a blow. Grey decided it was time for surgery. She got her neck fused. The doctor talked to her during this. He said she should have a benign nodule removed.

Now she could be able to do well on “Dancing with the Stars.” Considering the program inspired her to do something and receive treatment for her ailments, Jennifer Grey may very well have saved her life through the magic of the dance. “I was so frightened of the surgery, I didn’t want to even consider that it would be successful. And it was so successful, I proceeded to do everything else on my ‘to-do’ list that I was afraid of, including doing this show,” Zap2It heard from Grey. “I figure that if I don’t do it now, I’ll be too old for it. My body is clearly giving out.”
