Excited about the upcoming release of hit US comedy MacGruber, I thought i’d check out what the main character and American military hero MacGruber would be shading his eyes with.

Throughout the film Will Forte (MacGruber) wears several different pairs of awesome Ray Ban 3025 Aviator Sunglasses; the coolest of which is most probably the gold-framed aviators. Fore is best known for his live performances on Saturday Night Live in the US, and whilst he may not be considered a classic syle icon, he looks great in the Ray Ban aviators.

I much prefer the large aviators sported by Forte than the smaller aviators available this year (see Jessica Biel’s sunglasses in the 2010 A-Team movie for a good example); I’m also a big fan of the special leather side protectors which MacGruber has fitted to certain pairs during the film. So far i’ve seen the side-protectors in white, silver and brown and i’m guessing they’re either specially made by Ray Ban or an external designer, but either way they’d probably have to be bought seperately.

MacGruber wears a few different pairs of aviators during the course of the movie and i’m not completely sure if they’re all Ray Ban sunglasses or not, but i’m definitely sure that there of some superb pairs of Ray Bans in there. I think these are some of the coolest, most stylish sunglasses of 2010 and a must have addition to any summer wardrobe. I’m pretty sure they’re not overly expensive at the moment, they’re not cheap, but will be affordable for most of us normal people looking for that little bit of Hollywood style in our regular lives.

The film itself is actually quite good too -. Forte is genuinely funny as hero MacGruber; the only man in history to recieve 3 Congressional Medals and 16 purple hearts. He also has a rather impressive mullet.
